Warning Description: Areal Flood Watch

Warning Date: 4:37 am EDT on April 20, 2011

WarningSum:...Flood Watch Remains In Effect Until Noon Edt Today...

Warning Message:The Flood Watch continues for
* portions of southeast Ohio and West Virginia...including the 
 following areas...in southeast Ohio...Athens...Jackson OH...
 Morgan...Meigs...Perry...Vinton and Washington. In West 
 Virginia...Barbour...Doddridge...Harrison...Pleasants...
 Ritchie...Taylor...Tyler and wood.
* Until noon EDT today
* 1 to 2 inches of rain fell across the watch area Tuesday...
  which resulted in flooding for some locations. A few rounds of
  showers and possibly a couple thunderstorms are expected this
  morning ahead of a cold front...which will cross this
  afternoon. Any additional heavy rainfall could cause more
  flooding.
* Quick rises on small streams and creeks are possible. Some 
  could come out of their banks...affecting nearby roads and 
  residences. 
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
